This year’s mid-term election—which takes place Tuesday, November 8—could have far-reaching consequences for U.S. climate policy, among a host of other priorities.

A handful of Yale organizations have put together voter guides and information about where, when, and how to vote, and the state and federal offices that will appear on this year’s ballot.

The nonpartisan student organization Yale Votes has a helpful website with links to register to vote, confirm your registration, check your state’s voting rules, learn about what you’ll be voting on, request and absentee ballot and more. Yale Votes is urging all students to fill out their “Pledge to Engage” form to get specific election updates and reminders. They have also set up a hotline number (475-267-1222) where students can text specific questions.

Several Yale organizations (Future Leaders of Yale, Working Women’s Network, Yale African American Affinity Group, and Yale Latino Networking Group) are promoting a 2022 Voter Guide entitled “Let’s Get Loud.” Created by the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF), the guide includes important dates, tips for preparing to vote, information about the state and federal offices appearing on the 2022 ballot, and a toll-free number for reporting discrimination or misconduct at the polls.
