The Keck Biotechnology Resource Lab at 300 George St. sponsored the Fifth Annual Recycling Fair and Raffle during Celebrate Sustainability week in April, 2013. Nancy Williams, the leader of the Keck Green Team for the past 6 years, organized the fair which collected toner cartridges, writing utensils, cell phones, eye glasses, plastic bags, etc.
During the fair a Raffle was held with sustainable prizes, such as drinking bottles, etc. An informational session for Green Lab Certification was also held during the Fair.
The goal of the Fair was to publicize the importance of recycling and sustainability. The recycling rate in 300 George St. has increased by 27.42% between 2011-2012.
