Call for Proposals: Actionable Sustainability Research and Entrepreneurial Solutions to Climate Change

The Yale University Office of Sustainability, in partnership with the Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies and Yale Center for Business and the Environment, announces a grant program to fund innovation and hands-on scholarship addressing information needs and solutions in support of the objectives described in the Yale Sustainability Plan 2025. A pool of funding is available to support:

  • Actionable research by individual students or student teams who have innovative ideas for sustainability projects to support the Yale Sustainability Plan 2025.  Priorities for this year include climate adaptation and resilience, energy conservation, solutions to bird strikes on buildings, biodiversity planning, co-benefits of green spaces, green infrastructure technologies, and health impact assessments for operational decision-making.
  • Entrepreneurial solutions to climate change by students or teams of students who have innovative ideas to for solutions for critical climate change challenges. 

These funds are available to undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctoral students. Applications will be accepted from individuals and teams. Awards will be up to $3,000 per project. Applicants may only apply for one award.

Interested applications should complete the online form and submit additional information as instructed. Applications must be completed and submitted by midnight on Monday, October 2, 2017.
