A partnership between the Yale-affiliated Urban Resources Initiative, New Haven nonprofits, and the city itself has renewed park buildings that had fallen into disuse, and provided youth programming. URI was chosen to provide programming during the initiative’s inaugural year, hosting Exploring Nature, a free environmental program that included hikes, trail clean-ups, a book club, and wildlife and husbandry demonstrations.
