Yale’s Paul Anastas, a leading figure in green chemistry and the former head of research for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will appear on @YaleLive on Wednesday, Feb. 19 to talk about chemistry, climate, and science policy.

Widely hailed as a ‘father’ of green chemistry, Anastas has served in a series of high-level federal science policy posts, most recently as assistant administrator at the U.S. EPA. Earlier, in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, he was assistant director for the environment.

Anastas is director of Yale’s Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering. At the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies he is the Teresa and H. John Heinz III Professor in the Practice of Chemistry for the Environment.
