Sustainability Microloan Fund
Yale students, faculty, and staff are invited to apply for short-term loans between $500 and $25,000 in support of initiatives that will improve the University’s environmental performance and generate real cost savings. While calling attention to the connections betweeen financial and environmental prosperity, this program is aimed at engaging all members of the Yale community in order to foster positive change and enhance the university's culture of sustainability.
The application consists of an overview of the sustainability concept, an identification of the capital investment required, and a description of the expected cost savings and revenues that the initiative will generate. A panel comprised of representatives from Finance and Business Operations, Facilities, Investments, Office of Sustainability, and faculty will review the preliminary proposals and provide detailed feedback to top candidates prior to allocating funding to projects.
Materials for the 2011-2012 application process are available below for all interested members of the Yale community. Applicants will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
